0 Paris Printemps!

Fauchon has a new Spring tea - the vert parfume
Everyone in Paris hopes to have a balcon no matter how small and on that balcon must go little pots of flowers/herbes.
*Remind me to water French Girls pots!!
If the drizzle ever stops.
More lush flowers from fleurist Eric Chauvin.
 Springie fuchsia shoes from ARCHE.
Fuchsia tables at Au Nom de la Rose on rue Cler
Printemp's windows again have flower heads this year.
 In all colors.
 Flower-colored macarons at Galeries Lafayette
For new bebes born in the Spring (or anytime at all) you must have gifts of dragee/candy-coated almonds at the babtism.
 Sweet springie bebe shoes.
 Adorb bebe in Natalys vitrine
Buy DIY herbes for la balcon at Les Marche les Enfant Rouge + a very good Mediterranean sandwich as well.
Tuesday, 1 May is muguet day!
Put a SPRING in your step!
With new pointie toed ballerinas or pots of muguet or macarons or anything at all! Now if the rain would just go away and come back another day.

0 Paris YEAH!

Come for a random walk around Paris in the drizzle.
More watercolor illustrations from Printemps artist, Aurore de la Morinerie.
At 'la goute' time/4:30pm Angelina was packed like sardines
I take-away a dome foret rouge of neither black forest chocolate nor framboise but Kirsh-infused chantilly inside.
I did not eat any compote de pomme yesterday :(
The Polonaise I shared (I only ate half and just the meringue topping)
You know it's Spring in Paris when you see asperges blanc. The season is short!
Beautiful hot pink clematis inside Prince of Paris fleurists, Eric Chauvin at 22, rue Jean Nicot 75007
I spotted Peggy Porschen's Boutique Baking inside librairie Galignani!!!
Goofy froggie purses in a papeterie shop window.
Hugo and Victor chocolate domes filled with Spring seasonal flavors.
 Grey, gris Paris.
What to wear if you're going in Colette on 213, rue Saint-Honore.
That's Paris YEAH!
A Sonia T-shirt for kids at Baby Tuileries.

0 BEAR is in Paris!

Bear had a lovely trip over on the AirFrance air bus.
Bear thinks he will never need to watch another French film in his life, he watched soooooo many on AF!
Unfortunately Carolg is still home packing.
La-di-da
 Nevermind.
Bear takes Roissey bus(FYI 10€) into Paris by himself.
Maybe someday Bear will become a Paris bus driver!
At last. L'OPERA final stop. This time Bear is not taking petit dejeuner at Cafe de la Paix since Carolg has all the €s.
On to ligne #8 to Ecole Militaire where Bear is housesitting.
1st stop a look in Lenotre's macaron windows along Avenue Motte-Picot.
 Next a look at Carrefour's spring leeks/poireau.
Bear insists on reading every lunch menu in the street.
And checking up on every poster in Paris.
And waving at every Paris bear..
Then a look into a very traditional blanchisserie/laundress of sorts for special occasions.
A lunch date with Martine's rescue dog at Patisserie Jean Millet on 13,rue Saint-Dominique. Spring leeks and Lot, a kind of white fish.
Dessert is a traditional 'Polonaise' -  a tall pile of delicate meringue sprinkled with toasted almonds resting on a Kirsh soaked-base. Both Bear and Martine's dog are a little wobbly post-lunch but never mind.
Lots more Paris to come tomorrow PBers, even if it is chilly and drizzly and Carolg again did not bring the right clothes!
Hmmm...

0 Paris Pinks

Thanks to you I wasted easily an hour this morning pinning Pinterest pinks. (An hour I don't have since I am NOT packed and this trip I would like to remember to take my makeup so I don't have to replace it for a lot more $$$ in Paris!).
We made these gorgeous pink framboise macaron shells at Chef Marthe Brohan's private class at her home.
More to come another time...
Paris pink renoncules on rue Vavin.
Pink French writing at Boulangerie Secco
 on rue Jean Nico
 Sooo pink.
 Spring pink yaourt at Monop!
Put a pink ribbon on it and you know you're in Paris.
 At parfumeur Annick Goutal.
On rue Oberkampf an R-rated pink bow.
Hot, hot pink scarf goes on anything in Paris.
Green leaves are essential to make your pinks PINKER on rue Raspail at Sunday Bio marche.
A touch of green makes a marsipan bun from La Mere de Famille pinker.
 See, it's universal.
Bears love ice cream!
A pink gateau mold that looks surprisingly like the cover of Pierre Herme Pastries book.
What do you think?
Along with inspiring me to make ice cream and showing me how to put a PIN IT button in my browser(!) my darling niece suggested I might...ummm...work on my posture.
This is a pink reminder.
Merci Louisa!!
Practice practice practice
Then I might look like this gorge Printemps watercolor illo by Aurore de la Morinerie TOMORROW in Paris! Please pray I get packed in time and I don't forget my MAKEUP etc.
Cheers, Carolgxxx
